Developing the aesthetic of Blade Runner 2049
Shahin Toosi. Double Negative. London
Blader Runner 2049.
In this presentation, Freelance Visual Development Artist, Shahin Toosi, will explain how he used Nuke and V-ray for the visual development of LA’s smog and neon lights for Blade Runner 2049, as well as the vis-dev for particularly challenging sequences (such as the love scene between a holographic Joi and a real-life Ryan Gosling), and finally also look at where vis-dev is headed for the future.
